To explain what good corporate citizenship means at Woodruff-Sawyer is to explain our uncompromising commitment to behaving responsibly, justly, and compassionately, for the sake of our customers, our employees, and the communities and environment in which we live and work.


Sustainable Business Practices. We recognize the impact our actions have on the environment, and we’re committed to promoting and adopting environmentally sustainable business practices. Our Sustainability Committee helps us live up to these values through specific policies and initiatives, both within and outside of the office. We use technology-based tools to eliminate the need for large paper files, mailing or faxing documents, and print materials. We encourage the use of zip cars for local business trips and use recycled materials where possible. We promote green practices among our staff by providing ongoing education and incentives related to both business and personal behavior. Our work continues as we find new ways to make sustainability part of our workflow, lives and interaction with clients.


Support for the Community. We’re dedicated to fostering community, both within our company in the form of teamwork, collaboration and a respectful environment, and outside of it in places where we can lend a helpful hand. CARE—which stands for Community, Action, Responsibility, Enhancement—is our community service team whose goal is to identify and contribute to the charitable causes we support as a company. CARE organizes our staff for targeted volunteer activities and coordinates corporate matching to support monetary contributions. We’re giving back to the community in the form of food bank donations, big brother/big sister mentoring, blood drives, clothing drives, park clean-up and more. High Ethical Standards. Fundamental to our Code of Ethics are behaviors that exemplify honesty, good faith, accountability, knowledge sharing and skills development. We engage in these behaviors at every turn: We’re upfront about our deliverables, which are mutually developed with each client, and regularly report on our progress in meeting them. We believe in complete transparency and fully disclose our compensation to clients, no matter how that income is derived. In addition to our direct work with clients, we believe a good business partner shares its knowledge and invests in the development of others. So we regularly host client educational seminars and provide ongoing updates on best practices and industry developments.
